Tragic Death of Liam Payne Under Investigation

The public prosecutor took witness statements from all the people involved in the Liam Payne case. The father of the British singer arrived in Buenos Aires, went to the prosecutor's office, and hours later, identified his son's body at the morgue. He later collected Payne's belongings from the hotel where he passed away, a place that has now become a tribute point for his fans.

The report on the case was widely circulated in local media on Monday. Geoff Payne, Liam's father, has initiated the procedures to repatriate the body of the former One Direction member. The body is expected to be released around October 28, according to a government official from the City of Buenos Aires who requested to remain anonymous.

According to initial investigations, it is suggested that Liam Payne was alone and experiencing an emotional breakdown after consuming yet unidentified substances before falling into the void, according to the Public Prosecutor's Office. The cause of his death is considered suspicious. Substances indicating drugs and alcohol, as well as damage to objects and furniture, were found at the singer's lodging.

It is known that three hotel employees and two women were in the room with Payne before his death. The singer's fans have left flowers, candles, and photos at an improvised shrine outside the hotel. Although the preliminary toxicological report indicated evidence of cocaine exposure, the final report is expected within two weeks for more details, as it does not provide precise information about the quantity of the drug in his blood at the time of death.
